Find your level / A useful starting point

A good match starts with an honest level.

Think about what you can repeat in a match, not your best-ever shot. These descriptions help you talk about your game; they do not assign or change your rating.

Start with your current game

Can you sustain a rally, serve consistently and construct a point under pressure? Years played alone do not tell the whole story. If you are returning after a break, describe the level you can play today.

A rating helps with orientation, but each tournament has its own category and rules. Read the event details and ask the organiser if you are unsure whether it suits your experience.
